First "Jopling Dinner" Invitation.

What a wonderful idea! Since I am working in Belgorod, Russia, for the next six months (quite near the Ukrainian Border) I would like to announce the first 16 Club Returners dinner at the Hotel Belgorod, at the very first date a returner can get here. One simply flies to Moscow, takes a bus to Kursky Station, then an overnight train to Belgorod. Nothing could be simpler and the train is even quite pleasant, as almost very Russian will be carrying a bottle of Vodka to deaden the boredom of the 12 hour journey.

I must admit that Belgorod so far this year has been a little frozen, but relief, in the form of warmer temperatures and mud, is upon us. Actually, Belgorod is a very pleasant city of 400,000 in southern Russia, the second fastest growing city in Russia after Moscow, but one must admit it’s a distant second. A particular saving grace is the beauty of the women, many of whom are quite spectacular. Unfortunately, or fortunately, my activity in this regard is somewhat limited by an age related affliction, alas size does have its disadvantages, and one must be content with the benefits of quality over quantity, and the satisfactions of a long-standing and happy marriage. However, I am certainly available for any advice and direction required by younger or more vigorous and healthful visitors. The Art Studio is not to be missed at Friday and Saturday at 11:00pm!
